Shop Review SOP: Pre-Launch Checklist

If you are a new farm on GrownBy, use this checklist to complete a thorough review of your farm's account before opening your shop for the first time this season or when launching new products. If you're a returning farm transitioning seasons, use the SOP at this link.

Farm Profile

  • Review all farm information for accuracy
  • Check that photos display well in your public shop

Account Settings

  • Payments: Is ACH enabled?
  • If using offline payments, verify your offline payment message is filled out and accurate
  • Customer options: Confirm tip and fee coverage settings match your preferences
  • Cart minimum: Decide if you want to require a minimum order amount
  • Taxes and fees:
    • Verify taxes and fees are configured if needed
    • Confirm they're associated with the correct products (Note: Pull a product export to see these associations easily in one place)

Locations

  • Review all community and farm locations for accuracy
  • Check delivery zones for correct fees and zip codes
  • Verify shipping zone settings

Schedules

  • Confirm there's a schedule set up for each location
  • Review schedule details:
    • Do dates look correct?
    • Are start times set to your standard times?
  • If offering biweekly products, verify they have dedicated schedules (give these extra attention)
  • Review order cutoff windows

CSA Groups

  • Review automated messages:
    • New order message
    • Missed pickup message (highly recommended!)
  • Important: Customizable shares must have their own CSA Group if you offer other share types
  • Determine if any CSA groups should be set to private

Products

  • Using the product export or products page, verify the correct schedules are associated with each product
  • For shares:
    • Confirm the number of distributions is not less than the number of weeks shown in product availability for each schedule (this can affect proration calculations)
    • Review final installment dates
    • Verify deposit amounts
  • If you're using templates, make sure all products that should be designated a "child" share are correctly set.
  • For standard products, verify "allow next-day ordering" settings
  • Confirm taxes and fees are applied correctly (the easiest way to see which taxes and fees are applied to which products is in a products export)

Promotions

  • Review all active promotions for accuracy
