What are Manual Payments?

Manual Payments is a payment option on GrownBy Register. It gives you a way to record on your records that a payment was fulfilled when a customer paid through a different means. When you choose Manual at checkout, you can select the payment type the customer used:

  • Check
  • SNAP/EBT Token
  • Double Up Voucher
  • Produce Prescription Voucher
  • WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program
  • Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
  • Other (alternative online payments)

How to record a Manual Payment

  1. Build the customer's cart and select Charge to reach the checkout screen.
  2. Choose Manual as the payment method.
  3. Under Payment Type, select the form of payment the customer used.
  4. Add a note in the Notes (optional) field if needed — this is especially helpful when using Other.
  5. Select Collect to record the payment.
