How Many Shares Have I Sold?

A common question for a CSA farmer whose shares are open for sale is "How Many Shares Have I Sold?" There are a few ways to view that on GrownBy

Via Sales Reports

  1. Go to "Reports" in the left hand menu on desktop
  2. Set the date filter to include the date when you first opened shares for sale
  3. choose Product Sales by order date and Category (sorted)
  4. Click View for a quick view in HTML that can be expanded to show how many of each size.

Export the sorted or unsorted version of this report for more manipulatable information.

If you need to know how many shares per locations, there is an export sorted by location. 

Note: These sales reports show all shares ordered but don't take payment into account. You can read more about these sales reports here: Reports on GrownBy

Via Orders

If you use a different CSA Group each year (which we recommend doing when you Transition your CSA from One Season to the Next), you can also use the Orders page to see a quick view of shares sold. Sort by CSA Group and adjust the date range to include all the dates when customers could have ordered CSA shares. This will show a number in parentheses that is the number of shares ordered. If you have cancelled shares, they'll be included in this number, however.
