Connect Start Micronics Cash Drawer to GrownBy Register

The Start Micronics Printer is required for the use of the Star Micronics Scanner or Cash Drawer. The printer is how the scanner connects to your device (via Bluetooth)

Star Micronics Cash Drawer

GrownBy Register is integrated with select Star Micronics hardware, and specifically hardware that can connect via Bluetooth.

Connecting Cash Drawer to GrownBy Register

  1. Connect included cable between the printer and the cash drawer. Be very sure to connect the Printer side to the printer and the Cash Drawer side to the cash drawer.

Opening the Cash Drawer

  1. When receiving a cash payment, the cash drawer (if connected properly) will pop open automatically after "Collect" is pressed on this screen



  1. Additionally, you can always open the cash drawer as a post-payment option. Click "Actions" on the order completion screen and then "Open Cash Drawer"
