What are Manual Payments?

Manual Payments is a payment option on GrownBy Register. It gives you a way to record that a payment was fulfilled when a customer paid through different means than the standard payment options provided. When you choose Manual at checkout, you can select the payment type the customer used:

  • Check
  • SNAP/EBT Token
  • Double Up Voucher
  • Produce Prescription Voucher
  • WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program Voucher
  • Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Voucher
  • Other (alternative online payments)

How to record a Manual Payment

  1. Build the customer's cart and select Charge to reach the checkout screen.
  2. Choose Manual as the payment method.
  3. Under Payment Type, select the form of payment the customer used.
  4. Confirm or adjust the Amount field, which defaults to the remaining balance. You can edit this to record a partial payment.
  5. Add a note in the Notes (optional) field if needed. This is especially helpful when using Other as the payment method.
  6. Select Collect to record the payment.
