Digital gift cards let you send farm credit to friends and family. You purchase a gift card from a farm's shop, and GrownBy emails the recipient a redemption link. Once redeemed, the amount is added to the recipient's Farm Credit balance for that farm.

Sending a digital gift card

  1. Find the gift card in the farm's shop and add it to your cart. If the farm hasn't set up a gift card product, you won't see one — reach out to the farm to ask about gift options.
  2. Fill in the gift card form in the cart:
    • Amount — how much the gift card is worth
    • Recipient name
    • Recipient email — where the redemption link is sent
    • Gift note (optional) — a short personal message to the recipient
  3. Check out with a credit card. Digital gift card purchases must be paid with a credit card — Farm Credit, EBT, ACH, and offline payments are not accepted for gift card purchases. If you have other items in your cart that use those tenders, you'll need to check out the gift card separately.
  4. What happens next:
    • The recipient receives an email with the gift note (if you added one) and a redemption link.
    • You receive a purchase confirmation email.

Redeeming a digital gift card

When you receive a digital gift card, you'll get an email from the issuing farm with a personal note (if the sender included one) and a Redeem link.

  1. Click the redemption link in the email. You'll land on the redemption page on GrownBy.
  2. Sign in or create an account if you don't already have one.
  3. Confirm the redemption. The gift card amount is added to your Farm Credit balance for that farm. You can then use that credit toward any purchase from the farm's shop, just like other Farm Credit.
