Bulk Editing - Products

Bulk Editing - Products

It is possible to edit multiple products at once in the GrownBy dashboard. You may want to take advantage of this feature to speed up your workflows when editing, hiding, or deleting products.

You can edit the following fields through bulk editing:

Only show on CSA Page - Products that have this setting selected will not appear on your main shop page—only on the CSA Group page that they are assigned to.

Only allow next-day purchases - Use this to turn on or off the option to order a standard product for dates before the next date in the schedule. For Standard Products only.

EBT Eligible - Products can be paid for with online SNAP benefits via an EBT card. (This field only appears if you are certified for SNAP Online). Read more about SNAP Online here.

Featured - Products with this setting selected will appear on the Farm Profile page. You can have any number of featured products.

Hidden - Hidden products will not appear on your shop page. Hidden products are still accessible in the dashboard, so that you can update details and make them live whenever you are ready.

Category - Update the category field for your products.

CSA Group - Change or assign the CSA Group that the product is attached to. Each product can only be assigned to one CSA Group

Producer - Update or assign the producer field for your products.

Delete - Deletes the selected products. Note: this cannot be undone.

Schedules - Change the schedule(s) that your products are assigned to.

Taxes & Fees - Add and change the taxes and fees that are associated with your products.

How to Bulk Edit

First, navigate to your dashboard and click on the products menu on the left:

Select the products you want to edit using the green check boxes next to each product. Use the box in the header bar to select or deselect all, or individually select the products you want to update. Once you have selected more than one product, an additional menu will appear at the top of the page offering the option to “Edit Multiple”.

There is also a "Select All" checkbox at the top of the menu:

When you click on the “Edit Multiple” button, the following editing options will appear:

Once you select the field you would like to edit, you will see a box pop-up to confirm your choice. If the pop-up appears with a dash in the checkbox, that indicates that some of the selected products are already aligned with your selected setting. Click the checkbox to turn ON (checked) or OFF (unchecked) the setting for all of the products selected. Then click “Update multiple” to confirm your update/s.

In some cases, a bulk edit may not be applicable to some of the products you have selected. GrownBy will alert you to this and then allow you to update any products which can be changed.

In the example below, only standard products are compatible with ‘next-day purchases’ so any shares selected will be excluded. The pop-up will look like this:

In some cases, none of the products you have selected will be compatible with the edit you have requested. GrownBy will notify you in a pop-up window:
