Digital gift cards let you send farm credit to friends and family. Purchase a Farm Credit product from a farm's shop and send it as a gift to have GrownBy email the recipient a redemption link. Once redeemed, the amount is added to the recipient's Farm Credit balance for that farm.

Sending a digital gift card

  1. Find a Farm Credit product in the farm's shop. Select the amount you'd like to send, then enable the Send as a gift toggle. If the farm hasn't set up a Farm Credit product, reach out to them to ask about gift options.
  2. Fill in the Farm Credit Options form. A pop-up window titled Farm Credit Options appears where you enter:
    • Recipient first and last name
    • Recipient email — where the redemption link is sent
    • Gift note (optional) — a short personal message to the recipient
  3. Check out with a credit card. Digital gift card purchases must be paid with a credit card — Farm Credit, EBT, ACH, and offline payments are not accepted for gift card purchases. If you have other items in your cart that use those tenders, you'll need to check out the gift card separately.
  4. What happens next:
    • The recipient receives an email with the gift note (if you added one) and a redemption link.
    • You receive a purchase confirmation email.

Redeeming a digital gift card

When you receive a digital gift card, you'll get an email from the issuing farm with a personal note (if the sender included one) and a Redeem link.

  1. Click the redemption link in the email. You'll land on the redemption page on GrownBy.
  2. Sign in or create an account if you don't already have one.
  3. Confirm the redemption. The gift card amount is added to your Farm Credit balance for that farm. You can then use that credit toward any purchase from the farm's shop, just like other Farm Credit. After redeeming, you'll also see a QR code you can use to apply your Farm Credit in person if paying at a farm's register.
